The prize was awarded by the Talent to the Top Charter, which strives for more female and cultural talent in the (sub)top of organisations. 29 percent of professors at UMC Utrecht are women.
UMC Utrecht has been affiliated with the Talent to the Top Charter since 2010, committing itself to an active diversity policy, with measures such as the special Westerdijk chair and the Elisabeth Steyn Parvé programme. Thanks to this incentive policy, UMC Utrecht has received the Talent to the Top Diamond Award 2019.
