Research Code

Research integrity plays a vital role in allowing scientific research to function properly. The reputation and the reliability of scientific research depend on the individual actions of every researcher.

Guiding principles for research with integrity are honesty, scrupulousness, transparency, independence and responsibility as described in the Dutch Code of Conduct for Research Integrity:

To promote and maintain a research environment marked by integrity, UMC Utrecht endorses the Dutch Code of Conduct for Research Integrity and expects that all researchers at the UMC Utrecht work accordingly.

In addition, the general code of conduct of the UMC Utrecht also applies to research.

Faculty contact person/Confidential advisors/Committee for Research Integrity:

The Research Code of the UMC Utrecht is currently being revised. The new Research Code remains in line with the Dutch Code of Conduct for Research Integrity  and will specifically refer to the correct counters, UMC Utrecht policies and - procedures. The new Research Code will be available in 2024.

The current Research Code is still available in PDF and can be requested.
