i4CS Conference 2024: Co-Creating Projects for a Circular Society
The institute 4 a Circular Society (i4CS), part of the EWUU alliance, is excited to announce the upcoming Conference: Co-Creating Projects for a Circular Society.
Date: 06/11/2024
Time: 11:30-18:00
Location: Mauritskazerne Ede
Why attend?
The urgency of shifting from a linear to a sustainable circular society cannot be overstated. Our current patterns of production and consumption exacerbate resource depletion, climate change, environmental pollution, and biodiversity loss, in addition to fostering geopolitical dependence and social inequality.
This conference aims to address these critical issues through collaborative co-creation sessions focusing on water cycles, food systems and spatial strategies and planning for Circular Regions. The goal is to form new connections and co-create project ideas. These project ideas will then be used to help set the I4CS agenda and bring focus to our support activities for the coming year(s). So, let's work on creating impact together!
Co-Creation Sessions
The core of the conference lies in dynamic co-creation sessions. These co-creation sessions are designed to foster collaboration and innovation. In these interactive sessions, participants from diverse sectors and backgrounds will come together to share ideas, pool expertise, and co-create actionable solutions. Together, we aim to develop transdisciplinary research projects that can deliver systemic solutions that bring a circular society closer.
The sessions will focus on three key themes:
- Circular Water Systems
- Circular & Healthy Food Systems
- Spatial Strategy & Planning for Circular Regions
Who Should Attend?
This conference is designed for researchers with the ambition to advance the transition to a circular society. We welcome a broad field of all disciplines and expertise, to get a broad and transdisciplinary perspective in the co-creation sessions. This means that any researcher at TU/e, WUR, UU, and UMCU with affinity for circularity is welcome to join the conference.
