Inge Stegeman
Inge Stegeman (0000-0001-5154-7178, @inge_stegeman) is an Assistant professor at the department of otorhinolaryngology, the department of ophthalmology of the UMC Utrecht and the department of Data Science and Epidemiology of the Amsterdam UMC. Her research focus is on the quality and reproducibility of research, including the effects of Open Science, on biomedical research. Clinically her focus is on finding an effective treatment for tinnitus. She is a member of Young SiT, and the Faculty Open Science Team of the UMC Utrecht, and in 2021 she initiated the Open4Impact consortium. She investigates the impact of Open Science practices on the quality and reproducibility of biomedical research. Due to her combined appointment at a methodological as well as clinical departments, she works on the crossroad of clinical and methodological research, which provides her with many opportunities to advocate for all aspects of Open Science, Team Science and responsible research.
