As a pediatrician in metabolic diseases, Sabine is intimately aware of the limitations in care for our patients. Sabine is a trained pharmacist and pediatrician and focuses her research to improve the care for patients with rare genetic and metabolic diseases. As an innovative treatment strategy, she uses organoids for first-in-human liver organoid transplantations. Since 2016 she is one of the organisers of the Utrecht Translational Medicine Summer School.
